I Saw New Years Eve Fireworks Display and Gurmit Singh!

Sweep away 2007 and welcome 2008!

On New Years Eve, I went to VivoCity to watch fireworks.

Although the fireworks were rather small, VivoCity was the cleanest and most cooling place I have went to watch fireworks before!

We sat one place after another and finally decided where to sit.

I got a perfect view there and I saw two fireworks.

One was at Sentosa, another one was at Mount Faber.

My parents and I sat there for three hours, waiting for the fireworks.

While I waited, I sat thinking about the news on television I saw before I went out.

A lady went to Marina Bay at 11.00am to book the seat for the show at 7.00pm.

After the fireworks, I went somewhere near the back stage ( I was not allowed in the backstage)and saw Gurmit Singh!

Ooooh! He was the third person I saw live that went on television before!

It was 2.00am when I reached home and I slept instantly.

The next morning I woke up at 10.00am.

I am so tired!

Merry Christmas everyone!

I received lots of fabulous presents today!

From my grandma I got a "Littlest Pet Shop Digital Diary"!

Its a voice activated diary that opens when you say the password!

From my auntie and uncle is a science toy and two pencils carved with my name!

From my parents is a pair of badminton rackets and shuttlecocks.

I am so happy!

Book Review of Mary-Kate and Ashley (Episode 3: Fubble Bubble Trouble)

This is my first book review.

Author: Megan Stine

Main characters: Mary-Kate and Ashley

Brief summary: This story is about two girls Mary-Kate and Ashley who works as secret agents. Many of their friends had said that thier TVs were not working well and keeps getting fuzzy and wavy all the time. Mary-Kate and Ashley are on a mission to find out what or who is causing all the static!

I think this story is very nice and very, very interesting!

I Waited So Long!

Today, I went to my Chinese tuition.

It was called "Tien Hsia".

Its specialised in teaching Chinese.

The day before, I thought the lesson was two hours.

But the next day, after the lesson was dismissed, I realised that the lesson was only one hour and thirty minutes!

So, I proceeded to the waiting room.

It was cold, because I had forgotten to bring my jacket.

I went around the room, waiting for the "internet corner" to be not utilised.

The "internet corner" had three computers.

Then a computer user left his sit.

I quickly went to use it.

Then I went to the toilet.

When I came back the computers were occupied again.

I waited and waited, then another computer user left his seat to.

I rushed to the seat.

I played for about ten minutes before my mother came.

I told her that I have been waiting for very long.

Then we realised that her watch was one hour slow!

Netball Practice

During the holidays, I went for a netball holiday programme.

I went to school to play netball for two days.

It was so fun!

My friends were there too!

One time, the ball hit my head!

Ouch!

I hope there are more holiday programmes like this in the future!

One of the days we went to Paris for one night.

That was when the trouble began.

Paris was in France and so they spoke french.

When we took the train, they had some announcements in french and we did not understand.

My mother asked the information counter for help.

Luckily, the the man at the information counter knew a bit of English.

He told my mother that the train would not be coming.

My mother came back to tell us the information.

While we were discussing how we should go there, the train came.

We quickly got up and went in.

phew!

We then visited some old buildings and churches in other parts of England.

From each place to each place, it took at least one hour!

In Singapore, the longest time to drive from one place to another is only about forty five
minutes.

Then we visited some places like the Big Ben, The London Eye, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace.

The Big Ben was really very big and golden.

And I was very lucky to hear it chime.

The London Eye was very big too!

We crossed the Tower Bridge and when we got to the other side, it open!

When we went to Buckingham Palace, we saw the change of guards.

We were very, very lucky.

Our next destination is...

My auntie's house of course!

Her house had two levels and it is in Norfolk.

She let my family sleep in the master bedroom because our family had the most number of people.

My grandparents slept in the second bedroom, whilst my aunt and uncle slept in a store room.

Finally, the day came.

I sat in the taxi and my heart was pounding as we headed for the airport.

It was the very first time I was sitting on an aeroplane.

My father said that I am very lucky because My first aeroplane trip was fourteen hours.

I felt a little giddy.

My sister and I were each given a goody bag.

After the plane landed, we were even more excited!

We met my auntie and uncle at Heathrow Airport.

When we stepped out of the airport, the air was so cold!

We could see smoke coming out of our mouths!

We then had a two hour ride in their car to our next destination.

I am in primary school and its the school holidays now!

For my end of the year school exam, I got second in class and guess what I was rewarded with?

A holiday trip to England!

My auntie was having her wedding there too!

She was marrying an english man.

I was so excited!
